Morning Sickness Is A Bummer!

First off, let me just say that my pregnancy with R was a breeze compared to the little one inside me now. My morning sickness started at 6 weeks and has not stopped since. Most of the time it occurs in the morning when I get up, but if I happen to skip it in the morning, it comes at night. It seems like I have to visit the toilet at least once a day. Could it be all in my head? Lets hope this phase will pass very soon. I have been very tired and I know this week will be crazy for me considering that I have to prepare for R's 5th bday party this week. At least F is helpful that I can take naps during the day.

So, with the morning sickness, you would think I would lose weight. LOL. Fat chance! I went to my first prenatal appointment last Wednesday, August 1rst. We were there for 3 hours! I can't believe I gained 10 pounds since June. I do remember gaining weight at the end of the school semester because of finals, and then graduation. Even so, I better watch it or my doctor will yell at me! At the visit, I saw our little peanut which looked like a little blob. Frank couldn't go in because the room was so small. I didn't expect an ultrasound so soon! The baby couldn't be seen through the abdominal ultrasound, so we had to do it the alternate (or should I say "uncomfortable") way. The tech said the baby was measuring 6.5 weeks instead of what I should be based on my period of 7.5 weeks. The tech said I just could have a small baby, or conceived the week after my period, which I believe is true because we did the baby dance that week as well as the following week. The nurse said they might not change my due date, seeing that I can give birth 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after that date. When people ask how far long I am, I just go by my due date. So, my next appointment is the 20th and the 21rst. I have 2 because one is for the routine exam for me, and the other is to check on the baby. I can't wait!

Below is a picture of our peanut and also me at 7 weeks 1 day. Sorry about the dirty mirror, something that's already on my to do list.

Aw, look at chu! I need to start belly photos soon. Do you have Kaiser? They changed their policies. They do the ultrasounds at the first appointment now. My Dr isn't to fond of it though, heh.

I know what you mean about the first ultrasound. I didn't expect them to do it the first time but I'm glad they do.

I have some belly pics but I haven't posted them up yet. I also have those dirty marks on the mirror issue.. hehehe....
